Linda’s practice focuses on Healthcare Subrogation and Elder Law. Linda applies her extensive knowledge of Healthcare Subrogation to assist personal injury victims in their negotiations with medical benefits plans.  Linda’s goal is to insure that personal injury victims retain as much of their settlement as possible.

Linda has extensive experience with ERISA, HIPAA, and the FDCPA. Before starting her own firm,  Linda worked for two and a half years as Associate General Counsel and Directory of Disability Recoveries for the largest subrogation vendor in America whose customers were some of the largest insurance companies in America. Linda negotiated hundreds of subrogation matters, counseled medical benefits plans on language and recovery issues, and contributed research and writing to the Rawlings and Associates National Law Manual’s 2005, 2006 and 2007 editions.  Now Linda uses that knowledge to help personal injury victims.

In addition to her subrogation matters, Linda managed and supervised major pieces of litigation nationwide, including a precedent setting case involving state debt collection statutes and the FDCPA.  Linda also initiated and advanced lobbying efforts with respect to legislation affecting the insurance industry and negotiated and drafted contracts for the company.

Before going in-house, Linda was an associate for a top-tier litigation firm. Linda represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of cases involving contract disputes, estate litigation, probate, partnership and fiduciary disputes, employment matters, business torts, personal injury and healthcare law.

As well, Linda has a passion for Elder Law.  Her interest grew out of an extremely contentious estate matter she handled while at the litigation firm and her pro bono work for a senior citizen’s group. As a result, a major part of Linda’s practice focuses on wills, trusts, estates and Medicaid planning.

Linda started her legal career after fifteen years as a marketing executive for General Electric Co. In her marketing roles, Linda worked closely with GE’s legal team.  For example, in Linda’s last corporate position, she was a marketing manager in an after-market service business where her products were service contracts. Before that Linda acted as a liaison between marketing, legal and sales where she handled a variety of antitrust and Robinson-Patman pricing issues. In addition, during her first year of law school Linda worked with a team that sold a $40 million subsidiary company.  Linda participated in the contract negotiations and due diligence process.

Linda strives to have the highest ethical standards and prides herself in acting honorably in furtherance of her client’s interests. She also provides excellent customer service, ensuring that her clients are well informed and continuously involved in their cases.
